GET TO KNOW ME
My name is Christin Post and my art is called "Salty by Art". I am an abstract and textured artist inspired by the beautiful tones and textures of nature, such as flowers, palm trees, and the ocean.
I live in a charming village of Germany with my boyfriend and two cats. I am a self-taught artist who’s always had a passion to create.
I discovered my love for painting through my great-grandfather. Before we would have lunch on weekends, we used to paint together when I was little. He was a professional painter and had a painting business.
I find my artistic inspiration through interior design and cultural impressions while traveling.
FORMATIVE ARTISTIC EXPERIENCES
My travels lead me back to myself - my soul's destiny.
I left my heart in America. In 2011 I started an exchange year at a high school in Michigan. Where I was inspired by the art & culture of the states. After high school I wanted to travel and so I spent six months working on a cruise ship where I saw stunning European cities and beautiful art. I also fell in love with the ocean and all the aesthetics I saw during my travels. I also had the privilege of living on Oahu, Hawaii for three glorious months. Where I explored the beautiful nature and the Aloha lifestyle. After my travels, I pursued a degree in media management and journalism, but deep down I knew I needed to follow my artistic calling,
so here I am.
